Pegasus Airlines is a low-cost carrier based in Istanbul. It’s Turkey’s second biggest airline, operating flights across Europe, Russia, Asia, and the Middle East.
Before February 2024, Flypgs allowed one cabin bag with a weight limit of 8 kg.
After February 2024, they introduced new flight packages for international flights that include restrictions for a cabin bag and an additional underseat bag. The four packages to choose from are: Light, Saver, Saver Plus, and Comfort Flex, with Light being the most minimal package. We will explain the details below.
Being a low-cost carrier, most of their flight enrichment services, like meals and stuff to watch, can be purchased separately, so you can balance out your budget. Passengers can reserve meals online up to 24 hours before departure for as little as £6.

Pegasus Airlines Baggage Allowance For Carry-Ons On International Flights
Pegasus Airlines baggage allowance has adhered to new updates since February, 2024.
Before, all passengers were allowed one piece of carry-on luggage for free. This luggage must be no larger than 55 x 45 x 20cm and no heavier than 8kg, and 4 kg more if you flew Business.
Today, each passenger is allowed one (01) underseat bag free of charge for all packages regardless of packages. All packages, except Light, include free of charge 1 underseat bag + 1 cabin baggage.
So, the most important thing you should note is: carry-on luggage does not refer to just one cabin baggage anymore, but is divided into an underseat bag and a cabin baggage.
Note: Cabin medical assistance, like a wheelchair, is also considered free carry-ons.
Is Underseat Bag The Same As Cabin Bag?
Pegasus Airlines baggage allowance policy makes a clear difference between an underseat bag and a cabin baggage.
An underseat bag is smaller and lighter. An underseat bag should fit under the seat, while a cabin baggage should fit in the overhead compartment. All of these baggage, along with other items you’re allowed to bring onto the aircraft, is called carry-on.
An underseat bag can be a small backpack, a laptop bag, a tote bag, or a mini suitcase.
The terms may change meanings depending on each airline’s policy. Even if some airlines use standard terms, you should always do your research before booking.
CABINZERO’S TIP:
To keep things swift and easy, get a cabin-sized underseat bag that is designed to meet the restrictions of most major airlines, even stingy ones.
You can start with CabinZero’s 28L Underseat Bag. It’s 38 x 29 x 15 cm in dimensions with an ample 28 litres of storage. It can comfortably fit 2-3 days worth of clothes and some average-sized travel essentials.
Lightweight and flexible, you get more than a companion during your flight. CabinZero’s underseat bag is also perfect for hanging out, touring, and even working.

Pegasus Airlines Baggage Allowance For Checked Bags
Pegasus Airlines baggage allowance for checked bags is as follows:
For International flights
-
Light fares has no free checked bags..
-
Saver, Saver Plus, and Comfort Flex passengers are allowed 1 piece of checked baggage, weighing 20 kg maximum. For dosmetic flights
For Domestic flights
-
Süper Eko (Super Eco): no check-in baggage allowance unless purchased separately.
-
Avantaj (Advantage) and Comfort Flex: 20 kg check-in baggage.
While the size limit is not disclosed by Flypgs, the rule of thumb is to stick to standard baggage measurements. For example, in Europe, it’s 156-158 liner centimetres. If your baggage is oddly shaped or extremely oversized, you might have to inform them first.
And of course, extra baggage is always available for purchase after you book. If you have a change of plan, it’s best to get it online, at least 2 hours before your departure.
Pegasus Airlines Excess Baggage Policy

Pegasus Airlines baggage allowance is pretty much straightforward for excess baggage.
Bags weighing over 15 kilograms (for domestic flights) and 20 kilograms (for international flights) will incur a fee. Other additional items that are not packed within your checked bags, such as sporting equipment, are also subject to fees.
Excess baggage fees are charged per kilos and can be purchased online, at the airport, or via their call centre.
If you’re flying to England: 10 EUR/kg (online), 11 EUR (call), and 12 EUR (airport). You get the idea of which place is the best to purchase extra baggage.
Sports equipment is not included in Pegasus Airlines baggage allowance. You have to purchase it separately. Prices vary across destinations - domestic and international. The same goes for musical instruments, pets, and baby bags.

Third-party apps are also great, but we can’t always be sure fares are cheaper than booking on official sites. Sometimes, they do; sometimes, they don’t. The most popular apps are Skyscanner, Google Flights, and Expedia.
To check-in with Flypgs, you can do so:
-
On their website under “Manage My Book”.
-
On their mobile app in the “My Flight” section.
-
At the airport, either through the traditional counter or the kiosk.
When can you check in for a Pegasus flight?
For online check-in (on the website or mobile app), the check-in window opens 2 days before your departure, and the latest you can check-in is 60 minutes before the flight. This applies to both domestic and international and Cyprus flights.
For counter check-in, the window usually opens 2-2.5 hours before departure time. Some busy airports can open earlier than usual.
Regardless of which check-in methods you choose, the best time to arrive at an airport should always be no later than 60 minutes before your boarding time.
Boarding gates close 20 minutes before flight departure, so make sure you have to show up on time.
FAQs
Here are the answers to questions you may still have for Pegasus Airlines baggage allowance.
1. How Much Baggage Is Allowed On Pegasus?
Passengers can carry one cabin bag up to 55 x 40 x 20 cm and 8 kg, plus one personal item up to 40 x 30 x 15 cm and 3 kg. if you are on the Light fare, you are allowed only one underseat bag/personal item. Exceeding size or weight limits, or bringing additional items beyond the allowance, will incur extra fees at boarding.
2. I Have A Connecting Flight. How Do Flight Packages Work In This Case?
Your purchased flight package will be applied to all legs, meaning that your Pegasus Airlines baggage allowance will remain the same throughout. However, it has to be in the same booking. In other words, the same ticket.
For example:
You book a trip from Istanbul to Paris with a layover in Ankara under the same booking. If you select the Saver package, you get a 20 kg checked baggage allowance for the entire journey.
If you book the same trip but on two separate bookings - one with Saver and one with Light. Then you only get 20 kg of checked baggage flying from Istanbul to Ankara and none when flying to Paris.
3. Are Pegasus Strict With Hand Luggage?
To an extent, yes. With the new Pegasus Airlines baggage allowance policy, all passengers are allowed a 3 kg underseat bag free of charge. In the past, the free carry-on baggage allowed was an 8 kg cabin bag.
There’s a certain difference between a 3 kg looking bag and an 8 kg one. If your bag is clearly overweight and oversized on a Light package, they may ask you to check it in.
Some flyers share that they have experienced this after the new policy was introduced, especially in Amsterdam. But then again, Amsterdam Schipol is usually one of the world’s busiest airports.
The best way to avoid this is simply to stick to the policy. It requires you to get creative with your packing, but we promise it’s not as daunting as it sounds!
4. How Much Pegasus Baggage Cost?
Pegasus Airlines' baggage fees vary based on route, fare type, and when additional baggage is purchased. For domestic flights within Turkey, passengers exceeding their baggage allowance and paying at the airport are charged 8 Turkish Lira per kilogram.
For international flights, excess baggage fees depend on the destination and when the excess baggage is purchased. Purchasing extra baggage allowance in advance through Pegasus Airlines' website or mobile app offers lower rates compared to paying at the airport.
